Monday Night Ratings Finals: The Big Bang Theory Sets Record Highs

Monday Night Final Ratings Review:

The big story from the Monday night finals were that The Big Bang Theory jumped from a 5.1 to a 5.3, a new record for the show. In other CBS ratings news, Two and a Half Men was up a tick to a 4.8, How I Met Your Mother was down a tick to a 3.4 season low and Accidental on Purpose was up four ticks vs. last week (and also beat HIMYM in viewers).

Over on ABC, Dancing With The Stars were around level with the preliminary numbers (3.6) and Castle didn’t drop at all – for what I think is the first time ever (2.4).

With the massive overrun, FOX ‘s MLB coverage from 8 – 8.43 posted a 2.2 average for the day. House was down to a 4.4 from a 5.3 last week, a 20% drop which I’m just going to put down to the odd start time (this also possibly explains why Accidentally on Purpose was up). Lie To Me was up a tick vs. last week with a 2.9 A18-49 rating.

Over on NBC, every was stable from the preliminaries, Heroes (2.5), Trauma (1.8) and Leno (1.4).

The CW also stuck to its earlier numbers, Gossip Girl pulled a 1.1 18-49 rating and One Tree Hill a 1.0 (both were down 10/12.5% from last week.
