Comedian extraordinaire, Ricky Gervais has been selected to host the 2010 Golden Globes, The Golden Globes Committee has announced.
Gervais, who has presented at many awards shows has previously said that he’d never present will helm the show on January 11th 2010.
At the Emmy Awards on September 20th, Gervais said that he likes the Emmys better than the Globes because there are no movie stars at the Emmys. He said: “The thing about the Oscars and the Golden Globes is they’ve got film stars there, with their jawlines and chiselled looks, making me feel bad. But in this room – I’m not being funny – I’m probably above average.”
Gervais has yet to comment.
