NCIS Cancelled?

NCIS Canceled?

The quickest answer? No. The show is one of the best (if not the best) drama performers on the eye and there’s no way that they’re getting rid of it yet.

The show is averaging a whopping 19 million viewers and a 3.7 (18-49) rating for the eye and is a solid performer for the USA network. The show has also given birth to a spin-off, NCIS: Los Angeles, which would surely not perform as well if it didn’t have such a strong lead in.

Two and a Half Men Cancelled?

This is a hard one (and in the words of Michael Scott: “that’s what she said”). The show has performed well this season, having its best year since season 4. The ratings are up, it’s the most watched comedy on TV. It’s second in the 18-49 category only to the show that it leads in to – The Big Bang Theory.

Ratings are not the problem. The problem is that Charlie Sheen’s personal faux pas is making him question his future on the show. This might not be a problem though as apparently this is just a ploy to get more money. My guess? He’ll get it. The star is apparently asking for $1.5 million an episode – almost double what he receives now.

The show will be back though – it was renewed for two seasons last year and is the best comedy performer in cable syndication.

Medium Cancelled?

This show was resurrected last season by CBS, who figured that it would work perfectly with Ghost Whisperer on Friday nights. They were right. The show is averaging a 1.7 18-49 rating and is the second highest rated show of the night. Is that good enough for renewal?

My guess: renewed.

The Mentalist Cancelled?

Last week they pulled the ol’ switcheroo, moving The Mentalist to 9/8c and CSI to 10/9c. This did not work out well for either show.

On the plus side though, the show has been performing relatively well this season, averaging a 3.3 18-49 rating and just over 13 million viewers, not too bad considering the weakening of CSI.

My guess: renewed.

CSI: NY Cancelled?

Ah, the second most hated of the CSI’s. I say second most because I’m pretty sure that most people who’ve tried to watch the Miami spinoff have hated David Caruso, or was that just me?

The show has performed as well as its sister show, the original CSI this season, averaging a 3.4 rating and a solid 12 million viewers. This leads me to believe that it has a solid chance of renewal.

Criminal Minds Cancelled?

Although never really returning to pre Mandy Patinkin leaving numbers, this show is still among the top 5 scripted performers for CBS and also sells very well in syndication.

The show has averaged a solid 3.5 adults 18-49 rating this season which is better than the CSI’s and The Mentalist which surely makes it a shoe-in for renewal.

Trauma Not Canceled?

There are reports swirling around the web that Trauma has been uncanceled. This could be speculation considering the report is coming from Deadline Hollywood’s Nikki Finke but there could also some merit to it.

Trauma has recently stabilized and has even jumped .1 in A18-49. This is only a small jump but it is currently performing as well as extended NBC show, Mercy.

FOX Cancels Dollhouse

We were all expecting it and it’s finally happened: FOX has cancelled dollhouse.

The show has performed poorly for FOX, averaging just a 0.9 rating around 2.3 million viewers. Over the past 2 weeks, A rerun of Bones and a rerun of House have replaced the show, each out-rating it by 50%.

A FOX spokesperson has said that Dollhouse will still air in its 9pm Friday timeslot when it returns on December 4.

ABC’s Hank Cancelled

This just in: ABC has decided to say goodbye to its worst scripted performer, Kelsey Grammer starring Vehicle Hank.

The freshman show really has been performing poorly, falling to a 1.2 18-49 rating last week, a series low. It hasn’t had to fall far though – the show has only been averaging a 1.5 rating and around 6.5 million viewers all season.

There are currently no plans to show the 5 episodes they have in the can.
