Normally this would be a no brainer: the show consistently wins the Monday 10/9c timeslot. However, with Castle strengthening week-to-week and the Miami version of this franchise dwindling, I can’t see it last past next season.
Luckily for some, the show has strong enough figures and high enough syndication rates that it will definitely be back next season. (Here’s where the CBS press release enters my inbox telling me it’s canceled)
The show is averaging a 3.5 18-49 rating in originals and just over 13 million viewers. CBS will be concerned about retention from The Big Bang Theory though which may cause a timeslot shift.

Wow, a drama on CBS that I actually enjoy. I don’t know whether it’s the casting (which is great), the stories or just that everything else on at 10pm sucks, but I’m really digging where this show is headed.
Although the ratings haven’t been particularly strong for the Julianna Marguiles starrer, the show is producing a solid 2.8 (18-49) rating and just over 12 million – solid for a new 10pm show.
The good news for me (and possible millions of others): the show has been renewed for a second season. Worry no more (till next spring, anyway)
