Amanda Peet is Marshall Eriksen’s Co-worker on HIMYM

Apparently we’re going to see more of Marshall at Goliath National Bank on How I Met Your Mother - with Amanda Peet.

via zap2it.com

Early last week, while on-set for the CBS comedy’s 100th episode celebration, NPH told reporters that Amanda Peet would be a person he’d love to see on the show. “I really like her,” Harris said. “I think that would be fun.”

Days later, her deal was done.

Peet (Something’s Gotta Give, The Whole Nine Yards, Studio 60, The Ex) will guest star on an episode titled “Jenkins” early next year. She will play Marshall (Jason Segel)’s co-worker.

The actress, last seen on television regularly in NBC’s defunct “Studio 60 on The Sunset Strip” has most recently been working on the upcoming “Gulliver’s Travels” film, in which Segel will star as well.

Will Arnett To Visit Parks & Rec?

Is that a sex scandal I see heading toward the small Indiana town of Pawnee?

Amy Poehler recently teased that her husband, Will Arnett may soon be joining her on, what I think, is the most improved comedy of the 2009-2010 season, Parks and Recreation.

What did Executive Producer Mike Schur (or Mose Shrute as I like to think of him) have to say on the matter? He said there are “some exciting potential guest stars, pretty big stars and comedians” scheduled to appear on the show, but wouldn’t spill any further deets.

Apparently Leslie is seen at a bar late night with a Councilman and photographed by a tabloid newspaper. Of course, Leslie ends up being shunned by Pawnee, not unlike the gay penguin affair of earlier this season.

She is also breaking up with Dave – “A lot of really heavy stuff happens in the next couple weeks. It’s really good!” Amy said. Another thing that was revealed at the Paley Centre love-fest was that there is an April-Andy (Aubrey Plaza – Chris Pratt) romance in the works, which could lead to Ann showing her jealous side.

I’m super excited about the possibility of the Arnett- Poehler hook-up because I loved the two on Arrested Development. I also love the last faux sex scandal Arnett was involved in, which also involved Aziz Ansari and the Human Giant team….

‘LOST’s Naveen Andrews To Guest Star On Law & Order: SVU

LOST star Naveen Andrews has signed to guest star in an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU which is to air in January 2010, TV Guide is reporting.

The deets haven’t been released thus far but apparently the filming is due to start next week in NYC.

What does this mean for Sayid on LOST? Could be nothing, could be something. You have to remember that LOST has a very large cast and that he could just be on a break from shooting and then head straight back to Hawai’i as soon as SVU’s done. Apparently LOST is in production on episode 6 of the 18 scheduled to shoot this season, so even if he isn’t around for that part of the season, there’s still a chance he’ll be back for the final half.

Andrews must be under contract with ABC Studios (who produce LOST) which means that either they’ve let him go out to play whilst still under contract or there is no contract (which means he’s been written off the show).

I could speculate about this for hours, so I’m gonna stop here.  Andrews’ SVU episode will air in January 2010, Lost starts in Feb 2010 so it could just be that they don’t care that he wanted to do it and just let him. (Plus they felt sorry for NBC!)

Dan Castellaneta Crashing Into Wisteria Lane

So there’s a plane bearing towards Wisteria Lane and now we know who the pilot who crashes it is.

The Simpsons star Dan Castellaneta, (the voice of Homer Simpson), will be taking on the role of the pilot that crashes a small plane in Fairview during the midseason finale of Desperate Housewives on December 6.

Castellaneta has recently guest starred on Greek as Rusty and Dale’s professor in the ABC Family show.

William Atherton gets ‘LOST’

According to Carlton Cuse (Executive Producer of LOST) William Atherton has been cast on the upcoming final season of LOST.

Although there are a shortcoming of deets into what role he’ll be playing, Cuse did lead us to the scoop with his subtle clues on Twitter.

He said:
- “Damon and I are die hard fans of this impeckable actor who keeps the barr high and just signed to guest star on the show. Life is good!” Atherton was in Die Hard and played Walter Peck in Ghostbusters.
-
Then he said ” … who keeps the barr high” – he was on Desperate Housewives as Dr. Barr; and “Life is good” – Atherton was also on NBC’s cancelled ‘Life’ last season.
He then followed up with: ”Yes, it’s a clue.”

I for one, would not like to know any details on the casting because i’m just looking forward to getting some answers on screen!

Lost is due to start back up in February.
