Wednesday TV Ratings: World Series Game 6 Wins, ABC down

The World Series was decided last night, and you’ll like the result if you’re in to pin stripes.

Game 6 of the World Series took the ratings crown for FOX, drawing an average 22.3 million viewers and a 7.4 rating between 8-11pm, way ahead of everyone else. CBS was second, pulling 10.2  million viewers and a 2.7 rating. ABC was third with their comedies and Eastwick averaging 6 million viewers and a 2.1 rating. NBC took 4th spot with a combination of Mercy, L&O: SVU and Leno averaging a 1.8 rating and 6.4million viewers. The CW was last with a 1.2 (18-49) rating and 2.7 million viewers.

At 8pm, Mercy took second behind the baseball, averaging a 1.7 rating and 6.6 million viewers. Old Christine pulled a 2.1 rating and Gary Unmarried pulled a 2.0 to take second for CBS.  Hank/The Middle averaged roughly the same rating as the last time they were paired (1.4/ 2.0) to take 4th for ABC. The CW ran a new ANTM to take last for the hour with a 1.7 rating and just under 4 million viewers.

At 9, Criminal Minds kept the eye second, drawing a 3.2 rating and just under 12 million viewers. ABC’s Modern Family(3.4)/Cougar Town(2.7) combo was enough for 3rd. Law and Order: SVU was 4th for NBC, drawing 8 million viewers and a 2.5 rating. A Vampire Diaries rerun ended The CW’s night in last with a 0.7 rating and million viewers.

At 10, CSI:NY rounded out the night for CBS taking second place with a 2.7 rating and 11.6 million viewers. Eastwick set another series low by pulling a 1.6 rating and 4.6 million viewers to put ABC in 3rd for the hour. Leno was again last with a 1.3 rating for the peacock.

Monday TV Ratings: World Series Game 5 Wins, Heroes Up, CBS Down

Last nights results saw the Phillies win Game 5 of the World Series taking it to a 6th game which means big ratings for FOX later this week. On the other nets, both Heroes and Trauma were up vs. last week and CBS’ comedies were down.

The Yankees- Phillies game averaged a 5.3 rating and 17 million viewers between 8-11 winning every primetime timeslot for FOX. 

How I Met Your Mother (3.5, 9.08 million)/Accidentally on Purpose (3.2, 8.5 million) were second for CBS in the 8pm hour. Between 8-10pm, Dancing With the Stars averaged a 3.3 rating and 16.2 million viewers, a series low for a regularly scheduled Monday night performance show and third for the hour. Heroes took 4th for NBC, up vs. last weeks performance (2.6 vs. 2.5) and 6.18 million which could be a response to the news that Adrian Pasdar (Nathan Petrelli) has been fired. A new One Tree Hill on The CW was last, pulling 2.3 million viewers and a 1.1 rating.

At 9, CBS’ Two and a Half Men (4.4) and The Big Bang Theory (4.6) took second behind the World Series game. Dancing with the Stars stayed in third with a 3.3 rating. Trauma was up vs. last week for NBC, pulling a 2.1 rating (perhaps their fans are reacting to the news that no more episodes will be produced after the 13 already completed). Gossip Girl was down vs last week, pulling a 1.0 rating and just under 2 million viewers.

At 10, CSI: Miami was second vs. the World Series, pulling a 3.7 rating and 13.5 million viewers. Castle was third with a 2.5 rating and 9.7 million viewers, up slightly in the demos vs. last week. The Jay Leno Show was last (again) for NBC, pulling  just a 1.3 rating and 4.3 million viewers.

TV Ratings Sunday: World Series Game 4 Wins, CBS Down

Last night the Yankees again beat the Phillies to take a 3-1 World Series lead. FOX, on the other hand, is 4-0 for the series.

FOX again took the nights honors between 8-11p, drawing a 7.7 rating and 22 million viewers with a nice lead in from the close Packers- Vikings game.

ABC’s lineup performed better than last week up against the Baseball coverage with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition pulling a 3.4 18-49 rating, Desperate Housewives rising to a 4.9 rating and Brothers & Sisters steady with a 3.3 rating.

CBS was downvs. last week with The Amazing Race pulling a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating, Three Rivers steady (but low) with a  1.7 rating, and Cold Case dropping to a series low 1.6 rating.

There wasn’t an NFL game on NBC last night so it went with Football Nght in America at 7, which averaged an anemic 0.6 rating and 2.6 million viewers. At 8, NBC went with the movie “National Treasure” which averaged a  1.6 rating and 4.8 million viewers between 8-11 pm.

TV Ratings Saturday: World Series Game 3 Beats College Football

FOX’s coverage of the World Series Game 3 came through for FOX on Saturday night, beating out ABC’s coverage of two College Football games.

The World Series coverage was on 9-11pm and averaged a 4.3 rating and 14.3 million viewers, winning the night for FOX.

FOX’s Coverage of the rain delayed Baseball at 8/ The Cleveland Show also won the 8pm hour, averaging a 2.4 rating and 8 million viewers. ABC’s College Football Coverage took second place between 8-11pm, averaging a 1.8 rating and 5.7 million viewers. A CSI Miami repeat was third for CBS, pulling in just under 5 million viewers and a 0.9 rating. NBC’s coverage of the Notre Dame/Washington State College Football game was last between 8-11 pulling just a 0.5 rating and 2.2 million viewers.

At 9, CBS was third with a CSI rerun which drew a 1.0 rating and 5.4 million viewers. A new 48 Hours Mystery was also third at 10 for CBS, pulling a 1.3 rating and 6.5 million viewers.

Thursday TV Ratings: World Series Game 2 Wins, FlashForward Falls

On a night which saw the Yankees draw even with the Phillies by winning game 2 of the series, it was FOX which won its first Thursday of the season.

FOX once again was number 1 for the whole of primetime with a 5.8 rating and just under 19 million viewers.

At 8pm, Survivor Samoa started the night for CBS in second place, pulling in a 3.7 rating and 12.5 million viewers, down vs last week. FlashForward dropped to a series low for ABC, pulling just a 2.7 rating and 9 million viewers on its 6th outing. Fourth placed was NBC’s combination of Community and Parks and Recreation with a 2.1 rating for each and an average 5.2 million viewers. The Vampire Diaries was last for The CW, but still pulled a 2.0 rating A18-49, a 2.3 A18-34 and just over 4 million viewers for the minnows.

9pm saw Grey’s Anatomy take second for ABC, down slightly from last week to a 5.1 rating and just over 13 million viewers.. The Office was even with last weeks 4.2 rating (8 million viewers) and 30 Rock (6 million viewers) was down .2 to take third for NBC. CSI was also down a tick vs. last week to take fourth for CBS with a 3.4 rating and just over 15 million viewers. The CW ended its night in last place with Supernatural, drawing a 1.3 rating.

At 10, Private Practice kept ABC in second, drawing a 3.6 rating and beating out The Mentalist which drew a 3.5 (even with last week). Leno came fourth with a 1.6 to end the night for NBC.

Wednesday TV Ratings: The World Series Hits A Home Run For FOX

On a night where CBS were completely in repeats, it was FOX’s World Series Game 1 that hit a home run.

Although live sports numbers are subject to heavy change in the final numbers, FOX averaged a 6.3 rating and just under 20 million viewers from 8 – 11pm, taking first place all night long.

At 8, NBC’s Monsters vs. Aliens special took second for the hour drawing a 2.2 rating and just under 7 million viewers beating out ABC’s special half hour presentation of It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown/ The Middle into third place (2.1, 6.5 million). Fourth was a rerun of New Adventures of Old Christine and Gary Unmarried for CBS pulling a 1.7 rating and 6.5 million viewers. America’s Next Top Model was 5th for The CW with a 1.6 rating and 3.5 million viewers, roughly level with last week.

Modern Family was up a couple of ticks from last week to take second for ABC at 9, pulling 9.23 million viewers and a 3.7 18-49 rating. At 9.30, Cougar Town drew a 3.2 rating and 7.5 million viewers. On NBC, Law and Order SVU took 3rd for the hour with a 2.7 rating and 8 million viewers. A Criminal Minds repeat was fourth for CBS with a 2.4 rating anf 9.72 million viewers, beating out an encore of The Vampire Diaries which posted a 0.7 rating and 1.5 million viewers.

At 10, CBS’ CSI: NY (rerun) took second place with a 2.2 rating and 9.22 million viewers. Eastwick was up a tick this week for ABC, pulling a 1.8 rating and just over 5 million viewers. The Jay Leno Show was last (as always) with a 1.5 rating and just under 5 million viewers.
